A couple of big crashes, but pretty uneventful otherwise. Rear tire failure into 130R was the first big crash. As for the second, turns out going four wide into turn one (not on the first lap) at Suzuka does not work. Hirakawa, the points leader, taken out in that second incident. Last week, he ran out of gas off the final corner of the Super GT season to lose both the race and the championship.
